For God…

When earth began to turn
My soul was bright and clear
And felt that it could learn
Like God to know no fear

His light was everywhere
The source of life without an end
It shone on every being here
All the way that He had planned

He gave to man what man him makes
The freedom to decide
To take whatever step it takes
To be like god inside

But then a darkness came
Together with desire’s birth
Although it all belonged to man
It had become lord ego’s earth

I then took part in man’s silly war
A fire burning under my skin
Made seem God’s light so very far
That I forgot we ‘re His next of kin

So countless centuries had to go by
Before I could comprehend
That until my own demons die
Ego’s kingdom will take no end

But now I feel the power
Tickling up and down my spine
When my angel stands beside me
And with his hand he touches mine

No longer do I feel alone
And am I struggling through the dark
I know that he will guide me home
As soon as I can show the mark
